    Guess who this is!
No it's not Ge Ge or You You or even Mei Qing. His name is Wei Wei (Way way) He lived in the enclosure on the other side of Ge Ge. The positioning of his enclosure means that it is very difficult to see him outside. I only got to see him when I paid a visit to the other panda house. Where the other volunteers Ken and Lorraine were working at. There was other panda in the house. Find out who Tomorrow

One day when it was feeding time, we couldn't find Mei Qing, We looked all round her enclosure, her keeper needed ended up in the enclosure whilst trying to hang over the edge to see if she was hiding in the corner near her door. Then we happened to look up and there she was in a tree. It was the first time that we had seen her up there.

Whilst Ge Ge was having his mad half hour You You, who lives in the adjoining enclosure was watching. She seemed quite amused at the antics of the silly male panda next door.

Ten pandas from the Wolong Research base are to be transfered to a specialy built panda enclosure in March 2010 in time for the Shanghai expo. They will stay there until November.

It is not clear where the enclosure will be built. I'll update when I find out more.

This is one of the pandas that was brought to Bifengxia from Wolong after the quake. He was in a temporary shelter. They're not the best buildings around and the pandas have to be kept inside over night as the enclosures are not strong enough for the pandas to be left unattended. It is quite sad to see the pandas in these buildings but it is the best that they have at the moment. They are busy constructing other permanent enclosures for their panda visitors. Hopefully they will be ready by the end of hte year. I'm sure there will be a big ceremony to open them.

After Ge ge's mad half hour, he just seemed to run out of steam. He sat at the base of a tree for ages and I got some really beautiful photos of him, the next week (My last week) he become a real poser and would sit and pose for the visitors.

I really miss the pandas antics and need to find a way to go back to see them all again.

Once again this is You You (Yoyo), when I fed her in her enclosure the panda biscuit rolled a little too far and she had to go retrieve it from round the corner then she plonked her self down against the wall and munched it.

Continuing on from yesterday, this is Ge Ge again during his mad half hour. He seemed very restless not sure what was wrong with him, but he kept us occupied for the time being.

Once again this is Ge Ge. This was the start of his mad half hour. Here he's trying to wrap the tyre swing around the tree then use the rope to climb up the tree. Unfortunately for him his plan didn't work. So he went off running about his enclosure and climbing other trees.

Some of the trees in the pandas have bamboo wrapped round them so the pandas can't climb them as the trees are either too close to the walls of aren't strong enough to hold them.
