The age is reporting that Gu Gu an eight year old panda living at Beijing Zoo has attacked someone else.
This time student Li Xitao, jumped the 1.4 meter fence to get closer to the pandas, where Gu Gu and another panda were. Gu Gu took massive bites out of both the students legs, it's been reported that the bites were so bad that bone could be seen. Emergency medical officials said that chunks of the students legs were left in the ambulance.
Gu Gu was later seen munching away on his bamboo, no news currently on the well being of the student, or if he will be charged.
The Scottish Secretary, Jim Murphy met with the Chinese foreign minister to discuss the possibility of Edinburgh zoo obtaining a breeding pair of pandas.
The zoo had hoped to have the pandas in place by this month, to coincide with the zoo's centenary celebrations. It seems that getting help of the Chinese government has proved more difficult than expected.
Mr Murphy hopes to speed up the process by talking directly to the Chinese minister, The zoo thinks that 2010 is the earliest date that the pandas could be at the zoo, if the zoo is successful in obtaining them.
Reuters is reporting that Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan are not pulling the crowds as they first were. Around 5,000 to 8,000 visitors are seeing them each day.
The reasons put forward are :
Limited interest. (Some people aren't interested in Giant Pandas. That I don't under stand :) )
People fear that the crowds will be too big so aren't visiting.
Unfavourable weather.
No school holidays.
We'll just have to see what happens when the schools break up. At least the pandas get a bit of peace and quiet.

Late Sunday 22nd March 2009, the eight pandas who were visiting Beijing during the Olympics went to Bifengxia, their new home.
They were put in to their new enclosures complete with swimming pool. They had a nose around then settled down for the night.
The next day, they explored some more and seemed to settle back in.

Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that Atlanta Zoo will be turning it's panda cam back on. They had to turn them off due to financial considerations. The park has partnered with New Jersey-based Earth Cam, to provide the feed.
The camera is due to be reinstated Friday 20th March at 10 am. Regular cam operating hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
March 15th 2009, The north line of CCRCGP's "Thanks tourism around China" visited the 8 pandas sent to Beijing for the olympics.
China view is reporting that the eight Olympic pandas that went to Beijing for the Olympics will be returning home this Sunday.
Since the pandas arrived in Beijing that have been seen by over two million visitors. After the news was released visitors have seized the chance to take more photos of the bears.
Whilst the bears have been in Beijing can eat 159kg of Bamboo, 2kg of apples and other food a day. A remarkable difference since they first went when they only ate 2-3 kg of bamboo a day.
March 15th 2009. The Southline of "Thanks Tourism around China" held a "Thanks Ceremony" in Fuzhou. As with the other "Thanks Ceremonies" CCRCGP presented Water and Soil from Wolong, along with a script depicting the 13 Cubs born at Bifengxia in 2008 after the quake and a plague showing the paw prints of the 13 cubs.
On March 11th 2009 the Southline of "Thanks Tourism around China" holds the "Thanks Ceremony" to officially thank Xiangjiang Safari Park and the local citizens for helping Wolong in their time of need after the quake of 2008.
CCRCGP give Xiangjiang Safari Park the soil and water from Wolong, a scroll with a Chinese painting of the 13 cubs born in 2008 at Bifengxia and the palm prints of the 13 panda cubs.
The citizens of Guangzho voted on the name of Cao Cao's 2008 cub, they decided to name it "Wu Yang" 5 Sheep as Guangzhou is known as the city of 5 sheep.
