San Diego Zoo will be celebrating Gao Gao NameGao Gao Chinese Names高高 Stud Number415 Date of Birth1992-Feb- SexMale Current LocationSan Diego Zoo RescuedBaoxing County Mother Father 's 6th Anniversary at the zoo on, January the 21st.

Goa goa was found in the wild back in March 2003, he wasn't a year old and his mother had abandoned him for reasons unknown. He was taken to the Fengtongzhai Nature Reserve Rescue Center in the Sichuan Province and nursed back to health, his story was followed by children all over China.

In 1996 attempts were made to re-release him back to the wild, but he caused havoc to the local farmers fields and towns. So he was decided that he would be better of at Wolong.

In 2003 he was transferred to San Diego Zoo where he still lives today, he proved himself to be a great guy, and fathered the first panda in the America by natural means the same year (Mei Sheng). He also fathered Su Lin (2005) and Zhen Zhen(2007) (Wow is it really two years sine that little darling was born?)

The keepers and staff are hoping that he can be a wonderful dad again this year.

So pay a visit to San Diego Zoo on January 21st or look at the Panda Cam to see the celebrations.
