On the 4th August 2011, Qing He at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, gave birth to a healthy male Panda cub.

Qing He which means celebration was born in 2001, and was the first panda to be born after July 13th the date that Beijing won the right to hold the Olympics, So Qing He was named in honour of the fact.

This is Qing He's first cub, which puts her as one of the oldest pandas to have a first cub.
