Iw was a big event as they were the first cubs born after the quake. The ceremony also thanked the staff for what they did in the quake, and they also thanked everyone around the world who have rallied together to bring funds and raise awareness of the pandas plight after the quake.

They were many important guests at the ceremony including Director of the State Forestry Ministry Giant Panda Administration Office Liu Dewang, Deputy Director of Sichuan Forestry Department Li Xiaokang, Vice-mayor of Yaan City Mao Kai, Leaders of Yaan Yucheng District, China Wildlife Conservation Association, Panda International of USA, Panda Protection Institute of Japan, and over 20 Sichuan famous enterprisers and individuals who care about the giant panda and make a great contribution to the giant panda conservation.

30 Children from the Ya'an school draw a large banner(50x3 meteres) of pandas in their natural environment, whilst the ceremony was happening.
